This Thursday, February 19, the President of the National Assembly (AN), Jorge Rodríguez, formed the Special Monitoring Commission for the Amnesty Law for Democratic Coexistence, established in Article 15 of the enacted law.
During an ordinary session of the Parliament, Rodríguez announced that the commission will be chaired by Deputy Jorge Arreaza, and its vice-presidency will be under the responsibility of Nora Bracho.
The commission will also be composed of the deputies Pedro Infante, Grecia Colmenares, Carolina García Carreño, Tania Díaz, Nicolás Maduro Guerra, América Pérez, Pedro Carreño, Iris Varela, Cilia Flores, Roy Daza, Francisco Torrealba, Jaqueline Faria, Stalin González, Antonio Ecarri, Juan Carlos Alvarado, Pablo Pérez, Rubén Lima, David Uzcátegui, Luis Florido, Alejandra Rodríguez, and Alfonso Campos.
This special commission of 23 members had as its first work task to go to the Miraflores Presidential Palace to present the approved law to the Acting President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, so that it could be, in a peremptory manner, promulgated by the Acting President as the representative of the Executive Branch.
