The First Vice President of the National Assembly (AN), Deputy Pedro Infante (PSUV/Miranda), affirmed this Thursday that the recent visit of the U.S. Southern Command to Venezuela is a result of the triumph of Bolivarian diplomacy.
In a message posted on Instagram, Infante explained that the meeting held with the Acting President, Delcy Rodríguez; the Minister of Defense, Vladimir Padrino López; and the Minister for Interior relations, Justice and Peace, Diosdado Cabello, demonstrated the need to recognize the country as an international member with respect and shared interests:
“Those who put a price on the heads of the main leaders of the People are now sitting with them at a table of respect and common interests. This is a clear recognition of its strength,” stated the parliamentarian, emphasizing that Chavismo consolidates itself as the only political force capable of guaranteeing peace and national stability.
The assemblyman added that, after multiple attempts to overthrow the revolution, the (U.S.) Southern Command opted for a pragmatic dialogue geared towards a strategy against drug trafficking; this as a result of the resistance and courage demonstrated against what he qualified as “the greatest siege in our history.”
Likewise, he clarified that, contrary to what is being spread by “laboratories of lies,” the Venezuelan leadership has clear objectives. Among these, he highlighted the protection and defense of the integrity of President Nicolás Maduro and the First Combatant Woman and Deputy Cilia Flores, as well as the safeguard of the people from violence, and the consolidation of the Republic’s growth.
“While the extremist, desperate right wing insists on hatred, we consolidate the path of well-being, of growth, of peace and transparency,” he stated.
Finally, the deputy made a call to trust in the country’s political-military leadership, which has a defined historical project that will continue to demonstrate that national sovereignty is priceless.
