{"id":386010,"date":"2024-11-20T08:41:39","date_gmt":"2024-11-20T12:41:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/stage3.rnv.gob.ve\/wp\/prensa\/?p=386010"},"modified":"2024-11-20T08:41:39","modified_gmt":"2024-11-20T12:41:39","slug":"national-assembly-rejects-illegal-us-bill-against-venezuela","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/stage3.rnv.gob.ve\/wp\/national-assembly-rejects-illegal-us-bill-against-venezuela\/","title":{"rendered":"National Assembly rejects illegal US Bill against Venezuela"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: DejaVu Sans, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\">The National Assembly (AN) categorically rejected and repudiated Bill HR 825, which was approved last Monday by the United States House of Representatives, with which they seek to increase the imposition of unilateral coercive measures against the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela and thus stop international operations.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: DejaVu Sans, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\">The project has two articles, one that prohibits companies from doing business with Venezuela without penalty of being sanctioned, and another that establishes that the State Department may make exceptions.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: DejaVu Sans, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\">It has been called the \u00abBolivar Law\u00bb, in an attempt to offend the identity of Venezuelans, based on Sim\u00f3n Bol\u00edvar&#8217;s freedom project. The Agreement has not yet been approved; it must first be sent to the US Senate for discussion.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: DejaVu Sans, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\">D<\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: DejaVu Sans, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\">eputy Carlos Mogoll\u00f3n, who presented the project, denounced that the US government used the name of Simon Bolivar as an acronym so that this bill would bear the name of the father of the Venezuelan nation: \u201cWe do not offend <\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: DejaVu Sans, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\">n<\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: DejaVu Sans, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\">or fear <\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: DejaVu Sans, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\">anyone <\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: DejaVu Sans, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\">with our truth; we are committed to our truth, to our independence and to our loyalty; we ask you not to use the name of our hero. If you want to give a name to that law, give it names of genocidaires like McNamara, Kissinger, Hitler, but never Bolivar. We are children of Bolivar and we will not allow it.\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: DejaVu Sans, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\">The president of the National Assembly, Jorge Rodriguez, stated that \u201cthis monstrosity pursues the intention of offending, insulting, and hurting our nationality by giving it the name of Bolivar, but the heirs who founded that nation are deeply envious of the Liberator of America, Simon Bolivar, and, in addition to envy, they are terrified and terrified of him.\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201c<span style=\"font-family: DejaVu Sans, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\">With a rude intention of mocking, they give it a name that does nothing but show to the face \u2018how low and trashy\u2019 they are, because it is a law to insist and persist in the most aggressive actions that the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela has known, and that has characteristics of crimes against humanity because they are aimed at the extermination of freedom, mainly economic freedom,\u201d he said.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: DejaVu Sans, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\">Rodr\u00edguez presented evidence showing that the Venezuelan extreme right wing insists on asking abroad for blockades against Venezuela.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: DejaVu Sans, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\">The parliamentarian reiterated that the blockades against Venezuela are crimes against humanity; he also confirmed that those who attack Venezuela will be defeated again. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: DejaVu Sans, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\"><b>Proposal:<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: DejaVu Sans, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\">Deputy Jorge Rodr\u00edguez proposed to present and approve in the next few days a law that bears the name of the Special Liberator Simon Bolivar Law against the Blockade and for the Defense of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela: \u201c<\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: DejaVu Sans, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\">T<\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: DejaVu Sans, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\">he true Bolivar Law, of the anti-imperialist spirit of our liberator, the Bolivar Law to defend our freedom, our country and our people.\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201c<span style=\"font-family: DejaVu Sans, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\">It is proposed that this Law include the political disqualification in perpetuity of those who have committed harmful and brutal acts against the Republic, <\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: DejaVu Sans, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\">may <\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: DejaVu Sans, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\">they go to Washington, <\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: DejaVu Sans, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\">may <\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: DejaVu Sans, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\">they stay in the golden block of Salamanca in Madrid,\u201d he asserted.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: DejaVu Sans, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\">The parliamentarian added: \u201cIt is being proposed that this law apply the regulations of domain extinction to those politicians who profited from the theft of Citgo and the use of money that is supposedly frozen outside our country. Likewise, it is proposed that this law contain a special article where new ways of applying sentences against those who stole from the Nation and from outside promote the application of sanctions are established.
