{"id":365032,"date":"2023-08-11T08:19:27","date_gmt":"2023-08-11T12:19:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/stage3.rnv.gob.ve\/wp\/prensa\/?p=365032"},"modified":"2023-08-11T08:19:27","modified_gmt":"2023-08-11T12:19:27","slug":"special-economic-zones-boost-the-diversified-real-economy","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/stage3.rnv.gob.ve\/wp\/special-economic-zones-boost-the-diversified-real-economy\/","title":{"rendered":"Special Economic Zones boost the diversified real economy"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: DejaVu Sans, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\">The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicol\u00e1s Maduro, leads a working session in order to activate the application of the Organic Law of Special Economic Zones (LOZEE), in order to consolidate a new model of a diversified real economy.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: DejaVu Sans, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\">At the meeting that t<\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: DejaVu Sans, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\">ook <\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: DejaVu Sans, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\">place in the Boyac\u00e1 <\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: DejaVu Sans, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\">Hall <\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: DejaVu Sans, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\">of Miraflores Palace, in Caracas, the Executive Vice President, Delcy Rodr\u00edguez, and the National Superintendent of Special Economic Zones, <\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: DejaVu Sans, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\">J<\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: DejaVu Sans, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\">ohann \u00c1lvarez M\u00e1rquez, accompan<\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: DejaVu Sans, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\">ied<\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: DejaVu Sans, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\"> the Head of State.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: DejaVu Sans, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\">On July 20, 2022, according to Official Gazette No. 6,710, the Organic Law of Special Economic Zones (LOZEE) was promulgated. This legal instrument aims to regulate the creation, organization, operation, administration and development of Special Economic Zones (ZEE).<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: DejaVu Sans, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\">In addition, <\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: DejaVu Sans, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\">it <\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: DejaVu Sans, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\">strengthen<\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: DejaVu Sans, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\">s<\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: DejaVu Sans, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\"> a model of sovereign economic development and national production that guarantees the productive chain, legal security, social justice and environmentally sustainable means.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: DejaVu Sans, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\">This Law, which includes 36 articles, establishes as its central axis the deployment of the productive forces and the defeat of the illegal financial blockade that has affected the Venezuelan economy, in addition to overcoming the oil rentier model of recent years.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: DejaVu Sans, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\">In this sense, five ZEEs were created, namely: Paraguan\u00e1 (Falc\u00f3n state), Puerto Cabello \u2013 Mor\u00f3n (Carabobo state), La Guaira (La Guaira state), Margarita (Nueva Esparta state) and La Tortuga Island (Miranda Island Territory).<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: DejaVu Sans, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\">According to the LOZEE, the ZEE are defined as a \u00abgeographical delimitation that has a special and extraordinary socioeconomic regime, in whose polygons strategic economic activities are carried out under this Law, in line with the objectives established in the Economic and Social Development Plan of the Nation\u201d.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: DejaVu Sans, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\">Among its fundamental purposes are the development of a new national production model; which seeks to diversify and increase exports, innovate processes in order to promote production chains and international markets; as well as to strengthen the industrial apparatus and promote the selective substitution of imports.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicol\u00e1s Maduro, leads a working session in order to activate the application of the Organic Law of Special Economic Zones (LOZEE), in order to consolidate a new model of a diversified real economy.
