22 years after the beginning of the Bolivarian Revolution by Commander Hugo Ch\u00e1vez, 27 hospitals have been built in Venezuela and 26,000 medical centers have been incorporated to the National Public Health System.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n This was highlighted this Tuesday by the Executive Vice-President of the Republic, Delcy Rodr\u00edguez, during the presentation of the Annual Report and Accounts of her administration before the National Assembly (NA).<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n She specified that since Ch\u00e1vez\u2019s arrival unto power until the present time, 53 salary increases have been carried out in the country, as part of the permanent concern of the National Government to protect the income of the workers.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n Likewise, in 22 years, 4.5 million decent homes have been built, as part of the Gr<\/span><\/span>eat<\/span><\/span> Mis<\/span><\/span>s<\/span><\/span>i<\/span><\/span>o<\/span><\/span>n Vivienda Venezuela (GMVV), created in 2011 to meet the housing needs of Venezuelan families.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n Sh<\/span><\/span>e explained that in more than two decades, extreme poverty rates have dropped to 4%.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n In the educational area, school enrollment exceeded 10.4 million students in 2018-2019.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n Among the figures cited, Rodriguez highlighted the infant mortality rate in children under one year of age, which in 1990 was 25.76%, but in 2020 it stood at 10.01%.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n The equality index or Gini Coefficient, which in 1997 was at 0.487%, stood at 0.386 in 2020.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n \u00abIt is one of the lowest inequality indexes in our continent, along with Cuba, blockaded and assaulted as Venezuela,\u00bb she said.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n Sh<\/span><\/span>e noted that the unemployment rate in 1999 was 15.3% but in 2020 it reflects between 6% and 7%.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n \u00ab2020 was one of the hardest years of our Republic. The five-year period of betrayal ended, but it was one of maximum cruelty and hatred against Venezuela, with the multiform aggression\u00bb, she recalled.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n Sh<\/span><\/span>e emphasized that despite these aggressions, the country was able to gradually reduce inflation.
