The Chancellor of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Jorge Arreaza, affirmed this Monday that the connection between the Venezuelan opposition’s Juan Guaid\u00f3 and Colombian government authorities in the attempted coup and assassination of President Nicol\u00e1s Maduro is indisputable.<\/p>\n
In an interview for the Caracol Radio media from Colombia, he pointed out that since the assassination attempt on August 4, 2018 they have denounced, presenting evidences of the terrorist plans, and they have ignored it.<\/p>\n
\u00abAfter the attack on the High Government, on August 4, 2018, I contacted the Colombian Charge d’Affaires in Venezuela to deliver the information, the coordinates of the training sessions in Barranquilla; on February 23, we also denounced that Mr. Alcal\u00e1, a deserter, along with a group of Colombian paramilitaries were training in the Alta Guajira, for that famous show of humanitarian aid from the States\u00bb, he said, indicating that they now have 40 testimonies, including two American, which endorse these statements.<\/p>\n
Likewise, he pointed out that another evidence that links them to the violent plans carried out in Venezuelan territory is the action they took after Cliver Alcal\u00e1 confessed that he was using Colombian soil to carry out a military operation in Venezuela, \u00abThe Colombian justice did nothing\u00bb.<\/p>\n
Arreaza explained that these operations are carried out with orders from the US, \u00abWe have no doubt that the US was aware of and promoting the operation in coordination with the Colombian authorities\u00bb.<\/p>\n
Regarding the presence of military vessels in the territory of his country, Arreaza described it as a \u00abstrange\u00bb fact, since they were without any presence of the Colombian military.<\/p>\n
He specified that the Fanb, together with the Office of the Attorney General of the Republic, are carrying out the pertinent investigations to determine what happened, at the same time that deemed it necessary to dialogue to overcome impasses, such as that which occurred with military vessels and many other incidents that occur throughout of the extensive border between both countries.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
