«From August 20 comes a new national wage system anchored to the Sovereign bolivar and the Petro, and the workers will recover much of their purchasing power that they have lost due to the economic war imposed by imperialism», he stressed. in a broadcast by VTV.
He assured that nothing and nobody will be able to stop the economic change that is coming for the country:
«First time that Venezuela has a well prepared economy program and articulated in all its dimensions, with the objective of recovering the economy, stabilizing it, normalizing it», he said.
The new monetary cone will start with a new modality of anchoring with the Petro cryptocurrency, that is; the outstanding offer of the Sovereign Bolivar will be subject to the amount of Petros available and would act as a conversion box, at the same time it will be associated to the basket or value of the daily price of Venezuelan oil.
