Amnesty Law executes 4,151 full freedoms

Jorge Arreaza, Deputy to the National Assembly (AN) and President of the Special Commission for Monitoring the Amnesty Law for Democratic Coexistence (LACD 2026), reported that the Venezuelan Justice System had granted, as of this Thursday, a total of 4,151 full freedoms. The balance, shared via his official channel on Telegram, reflects the speed with which the judicial measures have been implemented just one week after the law was approved by Parliament.

This process of releases is being carried out throughout the entire national territory with the proper exercise of this right, whose objective is to promote political stability, reconciliation, and the reunification of the social sectors of the country. According to what was detailed by Arreaza, the judicial system worked tirelessly to process each case and ensure that the benefits reach those who meet the requirements stipulated in the regulations.

The parliamentarian detailed that the commission under his lead has received up to date 7,461 amnesty applications, of which have benefited 217 incarcerated individuals and 3,934 people under precautionary measures.

With this balance, the State seeks to ensure that the Amnesty Law for Democratic Coexistence is an effective tool for judicial balance.
