Acting President Delcy Rodríguez signed this Thursday evening the Amnesty Law for Democratic Coexistence at Miraflores Palace, before national and international media.
The aforementioned legal instrument, promoted by the Acting President, was unanimously approved this very Thursday by the National Assembly (AN).
According to what Rodríguez exposed last January 30 during the opening of the 2026 Judicial Activities, the objective of this law is to give way to the reconciliation with all political sectors making life in the country.
Likewise, she indicated that this initiative does not apply to citizens with criminal records for offenses such as homicide, drug trafficking, corruption, and other «serious violations to human rights.»
